DBCNA Firewise Committee announces a full-scale Evacuation drill and Safety Fair Saturday, September 21, 2024, supported by the Dominican Black Canyon Neighborhood Association, the San Rafael Fire Department and Dominican University.
The drill will begin once the Department of Emergency Management sends a test alert. Please be sure you're registered for alerts HERE.
The safety fair will take place 10:00 - 12:00pm at the Dominican campus parking lot, 1475 Grand Avenue.
Residents should plan to arrive by car or bike, register, and provide feedback on the exercise.
Expect Emergency and Safety specialists, Fire Safe Marin ambassadors, elected officials, a Fire truck for public inspection, snacks and of course, your neighbors.

Our hope is that all our prevention and mitigation efforts mean an evacuation is never needed, but if it is, feel ready and confident by having a plan and practicing.
We know the time it takes to get into your car and onto a paved road is the most critical time which is why having a plan, go bag, and grab and go list is so important.
